Nana's Dream Come True

We had an unfinished bedroom in our
home when we bought it.
I dreamed that it could become
a room for the grandchildren.
My sweet husband, while
taking care of me after surgery and during
chemotherapy made sure my
dream came true before the
family reunion!
This is what I dreamed of.
Little David and Aaron playing at the train table.

The pictures aren't the best in the world, but
they were all so excited to be together
that they wouldn't sit still long enough
to have a really good photo taken.

I trained as a classical vocalist in college but stopped because of family and career. When I heard Jackie's voice, for the first time in my life I heard perfection. Let's be clear, my voice will never reach the natural perfection she possesses, but listening to her helps me understand the direction I need to be going. Her tones are crystal clear, yet she has vibrato. Her pitch is exact. By trying to emulate her sound, I have actually improved my own voice. In fact I auditioned and was recently accepted into the most prestigious chorus in the city. I credit this achievement in a great part to Jackie because she showed me to way to excellence.

Swing High, Swing Low

Jeremy made me swings for under the deck and his boys are already enjoying them. This is Aaron's smile face. Caleb's smile face. Wee!  This is fun! Learning to hold on tight. Don't you just love his shoes? This boy loves Sesame Street characters as much as his brother loves super heroes.   Since Sweetie is here visiting, she got to enjoy the swings too.
