He Leadeth Me

We have been having glorious spring weather here in the Springs. It was almost 80 degrees last week. All that ended yesterday with a spring snowstorm. With the snow came the winds. When I looked out my window this morning onto my upper deck, there were only 3 chairs instead of 4. I couldn't imagine where the 4th chair could be. The wind had picked up the chair and set it back down in the backyard. Would have loved to have seen how that happened! We are predicted to be back in the 60's by the end of the week.

It is finally Fall here in Colorado Springs. The locals say that autumn is making a late arrival, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the lengthy summer! I must admit though that when I went out this morning and it was rainy, and the trees were changing colors, that autumn sneaked up and charmed me. These pictures were not taken at the local Farmer's Market, but from the display on my coffee table. Welcome Autumn! I had an e-mail from a sweet friend the other day questioning if everything was OK in my family. She said that I hadn't posted on my blog since the middle of September and she was worried. Just in case others have wondered the same thing, all is well! We are just super busy! I have been in the Denver airport for the past 3 weekends and will be there again this weekend flying to Houston and to Las Angeles. Busy, busy times but things should calm down in November just in time for the holidays. So, please don't give up on checking my blog. I will return when life gets a...

No this is not a left-over photo from last winter. This picture of Batman was taken on an otherwise sunny day in July. Late it the afternoon the sky started darkening. We thought we were in for an afternoon rain shower. The first indication that hail was coming was the clattering on the roof that got louder, and louder, and louder, until it was deafening. This is the aftermath. What fun for a little Batman! Back deck. My poor pot of herbs didn't fare too well. All the plants in the flowerbed that were blooming lost their blooms. The street was filled with marble sized hail. Crazy Colorado Weather!!!
