Clippers on a 2X4

Image
As many of you know, my husband is VERY creative. I have learned through the years to appreciate his ingenuity. Right now, he is in a cast on his left hand for a ruptured ligament which makes it very hard for him to clip his fingernails. When I am in town, I serve as his nail technician, but when I am traveling, he has had to come up with an alternate method of clipping his nails. Introducing the Clippers on a 2X4. Do you think he should market this? Maybe we could make a million. Gotta love being married to a smart man!!!

Friends are Friends Forever

Image
Many years ago, Michael W. Smith sang the classic Friends are Friends Forever. T hat is so true of my sweet friend LaJuana Case Gill. We have known each other since high school, and often go for long periods of time without seeing each other. But when we get back together, as we did when LaJuana spoke at our recent Ladies Retreat, it's as if time has stood still. I also love the way she is now friends with my extended family. This photo is her visiting with my favorite son-in-law, Adrian. I love you precious friend.

Blogging From The Sky

Image
These pictures are of two sweet friends (Sue and Barbie) as they arrived to visit me at Denver International Airport. I will blog more about their visit later, but needed some airline themed photos for this blog. You see, I am flying between Denver and Houston and am actually blogging using Southwest Airlines WiFi. Amazing that you can use the Internet when flying thousands of miles high in the sky. Also amazing that I am a little bit disturbed that the internet connection is so slow. How spoiled we have all become!! If you comment in the next few minutes, I will read it while flying the friendly skies. (Oops! Guess I am mixing my airline phrases.)

Fun With The Little Guys

Image
I had the two little guys for a play date today. We had lots and lots of fun, but the best fun of all was when they both went searching for books for Nana to read to them.

"Book" Review--The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore

Image
The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is an Academy Award Winner for Best Animated Short Film. It is a little lengthy (15 minutes), but is worth the watch if you are a book lover. Thank you Darlene for sharing.

Favorite Picture (Right Now)

Image
This is my current favorite grandson picture. It was taken by my SIL Adrian Rollett and captures their little personalities of the moment. Caleb is silly five. David is adoring cousin. Aaron is the hang out guy. The piece of furniture they are standing in is really neat. Adrian made it for David for Christmas. It allows him to be cabinet height in the kitchen so that he can help with cooking, dishwashing, etc. David calls it his "nunnel". Translation: tunnel
