Race for the Cure

My family showed their
support for me this past weekend
by running and walking in the
Race for the Cure
in both Houston and Lubbock.

They say that a picture is worth a
thousand words, so I'll show you
some very special pictures.

From left to right
My nephew Philip, my sister Kim, and my nephew Josh

Philip, my brother-in-law, Randy, and Josh
I love the signs on their backs.
I get tears in my eyes just looking at them.

Kim said that in Lubbock there were
9,000 people participating in the Race.

I don't know how many ran in Houston or nationwide,
but my sincere desire is that every form of cancer
have as much support in the form
of money raised for research.
Because of the amazing support
that breast cancer research has received over the years,
I am blessed with a 99% chance of
no recurrence of the disease.

Hopefully, one day soon,
all forms of cancer will be
cured!

Thank you Lynn, Randy, Kim,
Philip, and Josh.

I am truly honored!

It was such a huge blessing for me to be a part of this event. I could see God in so many memorable moments, but especially to see the pink balloons fill the air, released by the survivors of breast cancer! As I walked on that beautiful morning in Lubbock, I prayed for all of my family and friends who are battling cancer, and I too hope and pray that the cure is just around the corner!

You are a beautiful person inside and out. Thank you for keeping us informed of your progress. It's given me a perspective of how you might be feeling and all the different steps you've been through. It's helped me to understand and know you as a good God like woman. May you continue to recover and may God Bless you.
