Happy Birthday Poppy!

My sweet daddy (Poppy)
passed away a little over a year ago.
God is so gracious in providing us with
comfort in a variety of ways.
In this picture taken by
at Kelly and Adrian's wedding,
notice the image that appears
over Poppy's head.
I am reminded of the Amy Grant
song "Angels Watching Over You."
Poppy definitely does not need angels
watching over him. He is praising God
right now as I write this, but thank you God
that your angels are watching over all
of us who he left behind.
We'll all meet you one day, daddy.

I'm not sure if I should thank my friend Mindy for letting me know that Kohl's is featuring Skippyjon Jones items in their stores, or whether I should send her the bill for the items I purchased. I actually restrained myself (although all items purchased are not displayed in the picture.) There are many more Skippy Jon Jones items at your local Kohl's. Texas Bluebonnets and Spring are synonymous! What a beautiful display of God's beauty! My friend, Lea, gave me a beautiful silver bluebonnet charm created by James Avery . You can see it by clicking the link above. I love wearing it because it reminds me of my roots. I still remember the Bluebonnet Song that I learned in elementary school. Bluebonnets, Bluebonnets, With your coats so blue Your bright eyes are shining In the morning dew. They say you're a dolly Offered for the rain And Texas wears blue Bluebonnets in the Spring.
