I have been blessed with a host of amazing men in my life who I could honor on this Father's Day, but I will honor just one in this post, my own daddy.
One of my favorite things in the whole wide world is to receive a Love Present . The definition of a Love Present is a gift that someone gives you for no special occasion, but just because. My sweet friend, Claudia, came by the other day with the cutest dishes. She had found them at an antiques store and she said they just looked like me. Don't they make a beautiful display in my kitchen bookshelves? Thank you, Claudia, for the dishes, but most of all for the thought behind the Love Present .
I'm not sure if I should thank my friend Mindy for letting me know that Kohl's is featuring Skippyjon Jones items in their stores, or whether I should send her the bill for the items I purchased. I actually restrained myself (although all items purchased are not displayed in the picture.) There are many more Skippy Jon Jones items at your local Kohl's. Let me just give Kohl's and their Kohl's Cares program a shout out. I am so impressed with their commitment to local charities benefitting children. All the items above were $5.00 each with the total proceeds going to charity. "Kohl's Cares thanks you for over a decade of dedication and hundreds of millions of dollars raised. 100% of the net profit from the sale of this item will be donated to support kids' health and education initiatives in communities nationwide. Since 2000, more than $180 million has been raised through our Kohl's Cares cause merchandize program." For more information, vi
Texas Bluebonnets and Spring are synonymous! What a beautiful display of God's beauty! My friend, Lea, gave me a beautiful silver bluebonnet charm created by James Avery . You can see it by clicking the link above. I love wearing it because it reminds me of my roots. I still remember the Bluebonnet Song that I learned in elementary school. Bluebonnets, Bluebonnets, With your coats so blue Your bright eyes are shining In the morning dew. They say you're a dolly Offered for the rain And Texas wears blue Bluebonnets in the Spring. Anyone else sing that song as a child?
